ASI GOLD PLAQUE FOR THE PRESTIGIOUS TRAINING SHIP “AMERIGO VESPUCCI” IN COINS&MORE CASE

The entire staff of Coins&More is honored to have provided the creation of the case for the exhibition of the gold plaque, donated by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano to the Amerigo Vespucci, an iconic and prestigious training ship, considered the most beautiful ship in the world and the oldest naval unit still in service in the Italian Navy.

The Certificate of Identity ASI, accompanied by the inevitable “gold plaque” that distinguishes historical vehicles approved by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano, was presented on Sunday, June 18th, by President Alberto Scuro to Captain of the Ship Luigi Romagnoli during a visit aboard the “Vespucci” moored at the Naval Base of La Spezia.

The certification of the Amerigo Vespucci, carried out through the ASI Aeronautics, Nautics, and Motorboating Commission, inaugurates the new category of “Motorboating and Sailing” on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the commission’s establishment.

“The Amerigo Vespucci – stated Alberto Scuro, President of ASI, at the presentation of the Gold Plaque – with its majesty and grace, represents the essence of Italian naval art and engineering. Its timeless elegance captures the imagination of all who behold it. It is a tangible testament to human genius and craftsmanship, which the Automotoclub Storico Italiano has had the honor and privilege to certify with the goal of conveying a message about the importance of preserving our history. The Amerigo Vespucci training ship is an ambassador of our culture, representing the best of our maritime traditions and inspiring admiration and respect for Italy and its historical heritage.”

The visit of the Vespucci – as part of a celebratory event dedicated to the ship’s departure for the upcoming training campaign, organized by the Karmann Ghia Club Italia with the participation of the Italian Division of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiast’s Club and made possible thanks to the commitment of Marzio Cavazzuti, a long-time supporter of the Italian Navy, and the coordination of Captain of Frigate Sergio Gianluca Notti, Chief Ceremonial Officer of the North Interregional Maritime Command – was enriched by the visit of the Antonio Marceglia ship, the newest frigate that entered service in 2019 in the Naval Fleet of the Italian Navy: a perfect blend of past and future, tradition and innovation. Captain of Frigate Michele Franceschino welcomed the guests, illustrating the features that mak it one of the fleet’s excellences.

Furio Troiano “We are proud that one of our products, a symbol of Made in Italy, has been chosen once again to preserve and enhance such an important certification, which will now forever travel aboard such a prestigious and historic ship like the Amerigo Vespucci.”

This is not the first time that the Coins&More brand has been chosen for important events and awards. We have created exquisite displays and cases for institutions and museums worldwide. One of the most prestigious ceremonies to remember is when we were called upon to create two cases for displaying the Italian flag and the NATO flag for President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and Vice Secretary General of NATO Mircea Geoana on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of NATO in Italy.

For us at Coins&More, it is always an honor and another feather in our cap, a strength that immensely rewards our work.”
