Among the 30 mm coin boxes there are models dedicated to gold sovereigns, marengos and follis, as well as the SPQR box for Roman coins. The 50 mm boxes are also suitable for coins with an expert certificate, and some 10-compartment models accommodate square capsules. For a large module or an important medal there is a single-compartment case with a 75×75 mm slot.

When diameter alone is not enough

• Boxes for specific series: compartments laid out for a precise series, such as Roman coins, the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, the Kingdom of Italy under Victor Emmanuel III, or papal coins.
• Boxes with custom compartments: you choose the number and layout of the compartments and the velvet colour — useful when you have coins of different diameters.
• Multi-tray chests: 2 to 5 removable velvet trays, some with a key lock; one model holds 54 compartments of 50×50 mm across 3 trays.

Glass-topped, gift-ready or drawer-friendly

Several coin cases feature a glass lid — such as the 18-compartment 50×50 mm models or those with 2 to 4 compartments — letting you see the coins without opening the box. For a gift, there are cases for one or three gold sovereigns, personalised with an engraving and designed for christenings and ceremonies. Many pieces are numbered with a certificate of authenticity, and on many models the velvet colour can be chosen.

What is the difference between a case and a box?

In our catalogue the two terms are used almost interchangeably. What matters when choosing is the size and number of compartments, both listed in each product's name and description.

I have a coin that is 38 mm across — which coin box should I choose?

A coin between 30 and 40 mm fits in the 40×40 mm compartments found in the up-to-40 mm section. If the coin is in a capsule, measure the outside of the capsule instead.

I have coins of different diameters — what is the best option?

You can choose a box with custom compartments, or simply use compartments sized for your largest coin. With the custom-compartment boxes you also select the velvet colour.

Can a coin case be given as a personalised gift?

Yes, the cases for one or three gold sovereigns can be personalised with an engraving and are designed as gifts for christenings and ceremonies.

Are there coin display boxes with a glass lid?
