Pens

Pen display cases, trays and cabinets for storing and showing fountain pens and ballpoint pens from your collection. From a case for 2 pens to a chest of drawers with 400 slots, in wood and Italian velvet, most of them handmade in our workshop in Italy.

Which pen collection storage box or display suits your collection

The right choice depends on how many pens you have and what you want to do with them: keep them safe in a drawer, have them within reach on your desk, or display them in a cabinet.

Fountain pens, ballpoints and oversized pens

The slots are designed for standard-size fountain pens and ballpoint pens. For larger fountain pens there are dedicated cases for maxi and wide-barrel pens: each product page lists the dimensions and number of slots, so you can check your pens will fit before ordering.

Wood, velvet and glass

  • Wood: walnut, natural, black and other finishes, depending on the model.
  • Italian velvet in many colours (black, burgundy, green, blue, red, beige, antique pink, dove grey and others): soft and non-scratching, it will not mark the barrel or cap of your pens.
  • Padded moiré satin in the trays, to hold each pen firmly in place.
  • Glass lid in the display cases and cabinets, so you can see your collection without touching it. Some cases also feature a pull-out tray and a lock.

Many models are customisable, for example in the velvet colour: you will find this noted on the product page. Alongside our own pieces you will also find MasterPhil pen display boxes with one or two trays.

For collectors, shops and gifts

Coins&More pen display cases are chosen by private collectors, specialist boutiques, artisan fountain pen makers and high-end gift retailers. For a growing collection, a drawer cabinet keeps everything tidy in a compact space; for a shop, the LED-lit displays and countertop cabinets put your finest pieces in the spotlight.

Frequently asked questions

How many pens fit in a case or a cabinet?

It depends on the model: cases range from 2 to 20 pens, trays usually have 11 or 17 slots, and drawer cabinets range from 39 to 400 pens. The exact number of slots is listed on each product page.

Will oversized fountain pens fit?

The slots are designed for standard-size pens. For larger fountain pens there are dedicated cases for maxi and wide-barrel pens: before ordering, compare your pen's dimensions with those listed on the product page.

Can velvet damage my pens?

No. The Italian velvet is soft and non-abrasive: it protects the barrel, cap and finish from scratches and knocks, and it lines almost all of our cases, trays and cabinets.

How should I store fountain pens for a long time?

If a fountain pen is going to sit unused for a while, it is best to empty and clean it first, then store it horizontally in a wooden fountain pen case or a velvet-lined drawer, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Can I customise my order?

Yes, many models are customisable, for example in the velvet colour. The available options are listed on each product page.
